Tire my restless mind
Impede it, to unwind
Shame, the abhorrent beast
His presence resists to cease

Prey, I am hunted
Chased, oppressed, confronted
Eluding truths long beheld
Only to which I am compelled
I wonder, if I’ll forever wander
No such time to sit and ponder
Endless search for connections
Fraught with vast, veiled reflections

So don’t speak of me posthumously
With intent of hyperbole
I am rotten, nothing more
Spoiled game to the very core
