(In case we didn’t know)
Whether it’s innocent cluelessness or Olympic-level laziness, here are 10 things we consistently do that drive women absolutely nuts. I’m not gonna lie – some of these look a little familiar.
1. Say “Calm Down” or “You’re Overreacting”
Translation: “Let me invalidate your feelings while pretending I’m helping.”
Spoiler alert: It never helps. It only levels up the rage. Anyone ever seen a woman’s ears get red out of anger? Or worse, when she’s so mad she cries? Yeah, I’ve seen it.

2. Forget Things They Were Just Told — Repeatedly
“Wait, when’s your birthday again?” “When’s our anniversary?”
If we have to repeat the same info for the third time this week… might delete him later.
Listen, folks, on this one, I seriously have a hard time remembering things. My wife has to repeat herself ad nauseum. She deals with it in her own way, but I should not be chastised for this.

3. Scroll While She’s Talking
Nothing says “I’m listening” like making direct eye contact… with your phone.
My wife is guilty of this, too! Although I do it more and get yelled at more often. I put it face down when this occurs. Nothing can be more important than what she says, right now, in this instant, no matter what… right?

4. Play Dumb When It’s Convenient
You built a custom PC, but suddenly don’t know how to scrub a pan? Cute.
We know how to do all the dishes and clean every part of the house the way it needs to be cleaned. We don’t always want to show off to our wives and make them look bad, is all.

5. Wear the Same Shirt for 3 Days and Call It “Not That Dirty”
There’s mustard on it, bro. And emotional damage.
Mustard, grease splatter from the grill, it doesn’t matter if you’re not wearing it all day. There are rules for garments that are not worn all day and can be saved from a wash cycle. Wait, am I alone on this?

6. Turn Her Serious Issue Into a Joke
She’s venting about her job and you reply, “Maybe they just need donuts!”
That wasn’t the vibe, Todd.
I have not been guilty of this. My wife might say the contrary. We’re not asking her.

7. Mention Their Ex — At All
“My ex used to make this same pasta.”
And now we’re deleting this pasta recipe forever.
Does it count if they bring up the ex? It probably does if we go on about them too long, huh? I was guilty of having “too long of a conversation” with my ex once. I haven’t spoken to her since.

8. Do the Bare Minimum and Expect a Trophy
“I cleaned the kitchen!”
Congratulations. You live here.
If I had medals for all of the accomplishments I have made in my home, I’d need a whole, extra room in my house to display them. I, for one, am proud of myself.

9. Wait to Be Asked Instead of Just Helping
“You should’ve just told me you needed help.”
She’s your partner, not your personal assistant. Be proactive.
This is the one where we have to read a woman’s mind to know what they need. We’re bombarded with “I am a woman and I can do it just the same” all the time but, when that is NOT the case, we have to be able to read the room and realize our damsel is in distress. Being a man is tough!

10. Forget Anniversaries But Remember Super Bowl Stats
“Wait… today’s our anniversary?”
Yet somehow you remember every QB rating since ‘97.
I can recall all of the four major sports winners for the past 30 years, but I have no idea what I had for dinner last night. As aforementioned, I am chastised for forgetting things despite it not being my fault.

Bonus Tip: They actually don’t want perfection — just effort and awareness. If you read this and thought “Oh crap, I do that”… congratulations. You’re self-aware. Now go text her. What dumb “WTF” thing has someone done that left you speechless? Drop it in the comments
Bottom line…a man should know better!
